What a day. Was at sentosa siloso beach from 7am in the morning until about 4pm. What was meant to be just a fun kickabout resulted in us clinching 3rd in the U-17 category. Im very very proud of my team today. I gotta say we nvr gave up in every match, fighting all the way to the end.

The first round started with us getting off to a great start with a 1-0 win over Queenstown Sec. This match is very tough for us, many tackles were flying around, and i also got a kick in the shin by the opponent. zzz. ouch. But we perservered throughout the match and managed to clinch our first victory. hahahaha. At that moment, we were like “wa win one match liao leh” not bad. We didnt expect to go on and win one more match and top our group and proceed to the quarters. 

In the quarters, we also had a “lose nvm” attitude at first. But everytime when we are on the field, all of us were 100%, 200%, 300% committed to the game, not wanting to lose. Our opponents, serangoon sec, scored first, which put pressure on us. but we fought back again and managed a draw. Then its the penalties, jasper scored,daryl scored. 1 guy scored and his teammate’s shot was brillantly saved by Keane, who was our great goalie for the day. So it was my turn, rarh i can tell u, i didnt want to take that penalty, cause i didnt want to perform another “john terry”. zzz. But i held my nerves and managed to score. Which brings us to the SEMI-FINALS. WOW. By then, we were talking about being champions.

On to the semi-finals, again we conceeded one goal first before daryl pulled off a brillant shot to salvage a drwa AGAIN. PENALTIES AGAIN. This time, their goalie was on form and he managed to save jasper and daryl’s shots. so we lost…on penalties…missed the chance to go to the FINALS.

3rd/4th placing match was against Viera 300, some St Pat team who had a Nani-look-alike in their team. Then we were all fired up to win that match cause 3rd and 4th place had prizes that were worlds apart. 4th place would only give us a Swatch watch while 3rd place will give us like trophy,vouchers,bag,cap…etc..etc. AGAIN, i gotta say, we were behind them by 1 goal throughout the match but we managed to equalise and equalise unitl jasper scored the winning goal. I tell you, when jasper scored, all of us were crazy. We fought all the way and won the tie. Amazing spirit.

Good job to our team. Keane was awesome, jasper and daryl were scoring the goals. And of course my partner Eugene Kendeji was samba defending with me at the back. Hahah. Great day guys. Bravo. (y)

hmm..so tmr is the TJC soccer trials. this time im not going to miss it…last time i missed the track and field trials and i regretted it alot. zzzzzzz. oh wells..soccer..i cant say im bloody good in it..i only know the tactics and plays of the game..of course with some simple passing skills. But ultimately for me..wad i really want to join in JC is track and field. I WANT TO RUN AGAIN.

holidays? i really wish time can pass faster. take the exams, flunk it. nowadays im just training and training. i dun think i can get into soccer, but i want to get into track and field. we’ll see then.
